An online workplace is made up of four elements (Rooms, Folders, Custom Forms and Pages) that when put together build a fully customizable collaborative structure. As each team and project is different, a team has the ability to redefine/change/add each element to build their own workplace structure in which they work using only basic web navigation skills.
For example Ara Design has created a room for the Los Angeles Airport project, the Lincoln Center project, the Chicago Towers project and the Wave City project. Each room can be accessed only by a subset of members, those working on each project, and can have its own look and feel, calendar and task management areas.
