First and foremost we are ourselves, collaborators. The management team at ProjectLounge has many years experience in Project Management and the development and use of collaboration technology which first emerged with Lotus Notes in the late 1980's. Our early involvement with Lotus Notes opened the door to collaboration for us and we have been continuously immersed with this technology from Lotus Notes V2 to the Domino, Quickplace and Sametime versions of today.
When the time came to begin our own business, it was natural that we used the tools we knew so well. Through our Business Partnership with IBM, we are able to deliver technically sophisticated collaboration capabilities to organizations as a hosted service. Over time we have seen many organizations achieve remarkable benefits from their use of collaboration technology. We enable global legal and financial organizations, who could afford to use the technology in-house to leverage the benefits of a hosted service, keeping the networks of all engaged parties safely inside individual firewalls and saving money at the same time. Smaller companies, without the resources to manage an in-house system, benefit from use of the full system.
We have clients that use our services to overcome security, time zone and distance issues as they collaborate on equipment design and manufacture, trade show organization, proposal preparation and delivery, research and development (including between organizations that are natural competitors), policy preparation, information technology project delivery, and communication between pension fund firms and their clients.
