Security

All data is secured with state of the art technology.

There are a number of ways in which your data is kept safe and secure.

Servers

Data stored on the servers is protected by firewalls, with each server stored in a secure facility. The facility is manned 24/7 by a security guard, with access to the facility by proximity card and biometric technology only. The facility has security cameras and on-site and remote monitoring of security and environmental controls.

Access Control

Membership of your online collaboration portal is controlled by the manager of your WorkPlace, with author/read permission controls and approval workflows giving you control over specific content in your WorkPlace. Members are able to log-in to your WorkPlace only if they have a valid username and password.

Backups

To guard against potential loss of data through unwanted deletion or editing, ProjectLounge performs daily, weekly and monthly backups of your WorkPlace. We back up each day of the work week (Monday to Friday), each week every Sunday, and each calendar month at the end of the month. We keep the monthly backups for a year.

Redundancy

To guard against downtime due to service interruptions or power outages we have:

  1. Fiber connections to multiple service providers including Adelphia, AT&T, NEON Communications, Verizon, Level 3 Communications, Metromedia Fiber Network, and WorldCom.
  2. Dual power feeds from Everett and Somerville in Massachusetts with UPS and onsite generators.

SSL Encryption

Data sent between each team member and the server is encrypted using SSL with the strongest certificate commercially available if you elect this option to be activated.
